Holiday Cookie Baking – Wine Required!

The holiday season is made for hosting dinner parties, entertaining friends, get-togethers with family, and baking of course! And every cookie has a fantastic wine to pair with it.

Chocolate chip is a classic, but since it’s the holidays, why not add a festive twist? Try salted-butter chocolate chip cookies, equal parts chewy and crunchy, and totally delicious! These cookies are best enjoyed with a book by a cozy fireplace paired with a glass of Cru Select Italy Style Rosso Grande. A deep ruby red with spicy oak aromas and flavours of ripe berries and black cherries.

After a long day full of winter activities, like hiking, snow shoeing or cross-country skiing, curl up with molasses cookies – sugary and chewy with a hint of spice. These holiday cookies pair perfectly with a glass of En Primeur Winery Series Chile Chardonnay. With hints of pineapple, melon, and peach, it’s a perfectly balanced wine full of freshness and lively acidity.

The holidays are all about indulgence. For indulgence at its finest, double chocolate chocolate chips cookies are always a great addition to your holiday baking list. Use both dark and unsweetened chocolate, for a delicious balance of bitter and sweet flavors. Enjoy during a movie night with your favorite meal and a glass of Cru Select Australia Style Cabernet Shiraz Merlot, an elegant wine with aromas of leather and black pepper, and jammy flavors of blackberries. Buttery, light and flaky, shortbreads are the perfect holiday cookie for sharing at all your family get-togethers. Pair with a glass of Cru Select New Zealand Style Sauvignon Blanc, a crisp and light wine with intense flavors of grapefruit peel and light oak on the finish.

Whatever your unique and individual cookie taste is, we carry a wide selection of wines to pair with it!
