About the varietal
Niagara is what we call a “cool climate” wine growing region. The Niagara region has an average of lower temperature during growing season as well as a shorter growing season than another region like California. Other cool climate regions include: Malbourough (New Zealand), Chablis (France) and Mosel (Germany). Typically, wines from cooler growing region have higher acidity which means they are food friendly as they help to accent the flavours of the food.
