Easter Dinner Wine Pairings

Looking for wine pairing recommendations for your Easter dinner? We have some delicious and crowd-pleasing pairings to complement your meals this weekend, regardless of what you are enjoying!

Roasted turkey pairs perfectly with our En Primeur Winery Series Chile Chardonnay.

Chardonnay is a traditional dinner wine and makes for a great choice for your Easter meal. This dry wine with medium oaking strikes a perfect balance between fruit and oak – giving the wine body and a creamy mouthfeel, with lively acidity to keep it feeling fresh with each sip. The creamy mouthfeel will complement the turkey, alongside the golden delicious apple and peach characters that’ll hold up nicely against the stuffing.

Grilled lamb pairs well with our En Primeur Winery Series Australian Shiraz.

Looking for a wine to pair with a lean leg of Lamb? Look no further than Australia’s favorite red wine, Shiraz to pair with one of their favourite meats. Our Austalian Shiraz is a full-bodied wine with flavours of warm black fruit, cherries and chocolate. These intense qualities make it a natural match for weighty, rich meats — grilled lamb in particular — since the slight fattiness softens the Shiraz’s robust, mouth-drying tannins. In return, the wine’s rounded fruitiness gently curbs the lamb’s earthy character.

Baked ham is delicious in combination with our Cru Select Australia Chardonnay Style.

Depending on how the ham is cooked and the cut, there are many different pairing options. However, for the ham traditionally found on tables in Canada during Easter, which is baked or boiled, we recommend our Cru Select Australian Style Chardonnay. The wine offers captivating flavours of ripened yellow apple and tropical fruit, which matches the saltiness of the meat delightfully!
